Ben Stanger, MD PhD

Dr. Stanger is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is a practicing gastroenterologist. His laboratory studies the intersection between development of the GI tract and gastrointestinal cancers, with an emphasis on the pancreas, liver, and biliary tract.

Dr. Stanger received his SB degree from MIT and his MD and PhD in Genetics from Harvard Medical School. His did a residency in Internal Medicine UCSF and a clinical fellowship in Gastroenterology at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a postdoctoral research fellowship at Harvard College.
