Sean Turbeville, Ph.D. has 12 years of biotechnology experience and has worked extensively in Global Medical Affairs. His expertise is in orphan drug products and is responsible for setting up systems to support the launch of new therapies in the United States, Latin America, European Union, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. Sean has worked closely with patient advocacy groups and ministries of health in an effort to make drug therapies available to patients with no alternative treatment options. Sean lives in San Francisco with his wife and daughter and joined the Foundation shortly after the death of his step-father, Bruce Schwartz from cholangiocarcinioma.
