Also does anyone have any recommendations for what can be done by the pain team for pain arising from the tumor encasing the coeliac plexus? Apart from morphine/opioid meds. Thanks!
Thank you Mary. Yes he has been in bed most of the time and has no energy to do anything. I was wondering if this is normal and when he might regain his strength?!?! Appreciate this must vary between individuals.

It is good to hear from you, but I am sorry your uncle is feeling so much fatigue.
I had radiation therapy and chemo after surgery, and the radiation really affected my energy levels with effects that went on for weeks after. The fatigue slowly got better with time.

Asking for a family member. They were diagnosed with distal cholangiocarcinoma last year. His whipple’s surgery was not successful last year. He has had severe pain due to the tumor pressing on the coeliac plexus (bundle of nerves & vessels). He had a few rounds of chemo and thenwas offered radiotherapy but it has knocked him for 6! He is in bed with complete fatigue. Can this happen 2-3 weeks after abdominal radiotherapy? He had radiotherapy daily for 5 days. Thanks in advance.
