Pyderman…… nice article and something else we can hope for. But, these type of studies demand years of further research and what works in mice does not necessarily work in humans. But, we need to continue

This has crossed my mind also. DIL is due in three months….and on the off shoot chance….I’m considering springing for storage of the baby’s cord blood. I’d sure like to know anything on the horizon for CC using cord blood also. I think the price varies a lot.

I have not seen any scientific data referencing stem cord cells to Cholangiocarcinoma. However; if it were me and the cost for storage is not too steep, I would consider saving it.

I have the very same question and hope there will be a response among the knowledgeable readers of this site.

Instead of trying to wade through unreliable (and mainly commercial) information on the web about umbilical cord stem cells and cancer, I thought I’d ask in here, as I’ve gotten solid info any time I’ve asked a question.

Do you know whether umbilical cord stem cells have been indicated as potentially beneficial in the treatment with bile duct cancer? I’d be interested in hearing both anecdotal evidence, and also in reading any research papers or abstracts on the topic.

With the patient’s daughter due to give birth in a few months, this is an avenue we are keen to explore if it’s a viable option.

    Many thanks.
