November 18, 2015 at 8:19 pm #90540lainySpectatorDearest Michelle, I am so very sorry about Kim and my humble condolences go out to you and your family. Yes, she did fight the good fight as did your family. CC has no distance even though there is a big pond between us.
It is hard to sing of oneness when our world is not complete, when those who once brought wholeness to our life have gone. Nothing but memory can fill the emptiness their passing leaves behind.
But memory can tell us only what we were, in company with those we loved.
It cannot help us find what each of us, alone, must now become.
Yet no one is really alone; those who live no more, echo still within our thoughts and words. What they did is part of what we have become.
We pay homage to our departed when we live our lives most fully, even in the shadow of our loss.November 18, 2015 at 8:14 pm #90539darlaSpectatorDear Michelle,

Tonight, when gazing at the sky, I will search for another star….that of your dear Kim.
May your heart begin to heal, one day at at time.
Hugs and love,
MarionNovember 18, 2015 at 7:20 pm #11891mizzey100SpectatorMy Dear Sister Kim passed away today after a 15 month battle with Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma. She was diagnosed in August last year and had a resection. Unfortunately they did not get it all and although she did well on Gem/Cis for a while the cancer came back. In August this year she was told that the cancer had spread . She was offered SIRT treatment which she received on 8th October but unfortunately the cancer was too advanced. After the treatment she suffered chronic fatigue and last Saturday was rushed to hospital with head pain. She had fluid on the lungs which they drained but was then moved to hospice. We celebrated her 47th birthday on hospital. She has been so poorly but came back to us on Friday 13th. She was back to her old self talking and chatting wanting to see friends, eating and making us laugh. This was a true miracle and lasted the whole day. Unfortunately she declined and lost her battle today at 8.36am. So hard to watch her slip away but she fought all the way.
There are no words but I know as I am writing this so many of you have or are experiencing what I am going through. My heart is truly broken but the love will never die.
I wanted to say thank you so much to this amazing group and to all the special people who have helped me, Lainy, Gavin, Marion, Duke, Catherine and many others who have responded to my posts. Although we are based in the UK I have learned so much from reading your stories and this is how we heard about SIRT in the first place. Although too late for Kim this will indeed help someone else in the future.
Night Night Kim, God Bless, Love you Forever
