CatherineFebruary 27, 2016 at 4:58 am #91770lainySpectatorGlad to hear this, Donna and a big YIKES! He owes you big time, perhaps some extra frequent flyer mileage! Just kidding! We really should get that for all our Medical stuff!
February 27, 2016 at 4:42 am #91769donnacMemberThanks, Gavin. I thought it did not post so resubmitted.
Anyways, got into the urologist today and guess what? The radiologist wrote the report wrong. He confused the good and bad kidney so I am flying high right now. My right kidney is the non functioning one that is enlarged from a blockage 2 years ago and he wrote it as the left one that was the “severely enlarged” kidney which happens to be my good kidney. The news brought tears to my eyes so I am now in good shape for the time being. Alleluja. And yes, I am celebrating.

February 26, 2016 at 7:06 pm #91766gavinModeratorHi Donna,
I too have no other thoughts about the kidney issues but my thoughts right now are to try and celebrate your great news if you can about your scan results. I know it may be hard to with the other news but please try if you can. And if you are wondering about the duplicate post here, it was me that deleted it. Sort of like housecleaning as it were!
Hugs,
Gavin
February 26, 2016 at 5:50 pm #91768lainySpectatorDear Donna, CONGRATS on the great Scan report. I have no idea about the other problem. I would say if I was in pain I would try to get in now. Best of luck!
February 26, 2016 at 4:55 pm #12228donnacMemberI had a CT Scan which proved to show no cancer which was shocking. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 bile duct cancer 16 months ago and have been on Gemzar and Xeloda. My CA19 is up to 130, keeps rising, but the dr said she looks at scans and not at numbers. We were so surprised that the scan showed no cancer since i have frequent abdominal discomfort. However, I cannot party too hardy with the news since another problem arose. The findings in the scans were numerous, with one being very worrisome. I have severe hydronephrosis and hydroureter to the level of the pelvis. I have an appt with a urologist in 7 days. And by the way, i have a non functioning kidney due to the tumor that blocked the right ureter so needless to say, having only one kidney, i am very worried. I have a question…..should i just wait 7 days for the urology appt or should i try to get in sooner? I want to celebrate my good news but cannot feel totally jubilant until i find out what’s going on with my kidneys. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
