ModeratorNicg…..you are welcome. Regarding pembrolizumab cost, I believe that Merck has an expanded access program (compassionate use.)
You may want to start with this link:

SpectatorThanks Marion,
I’ll follow those links tomorrow. Best not to do late in the day, or it’ll be followed by a restless night.
It’s all been a bit of a shock (again) to be honest. She generally appeared much better after the SIRT (apart from one really big glitch in week 3). She had more energy and was eating more so I don’t think anyone was expecting bad news. I guess with such local treatment you can inflict damage on the main tumor but not on anywhere it’s, unbeknown to you, quietly spreading.
Currently awaiting a long overdue phone call from the oncology dept….. The form of torture that I’m sure far too many have experienced.
Thanks again.

ModeratorNicg……it appears that the clinical trial is not recruiting, but please check with your physicians for accuracy: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01295827
Not sure how it works in the UK; however in Germany the drug can be prescribed off-label. Don’t know of the cost to patient, but you may want to inquire directly with Merck.
Perhaps this link is of help to you: http://www.msd-uk.com/about/our-locations.xhtml

SpectatorIt’s been a long time since I’ve posted but I’ve been regularly reading others’ posts.
Well, my mum has now had radioembolization. In the post-treatment 3 month scan the liver tumor had stayed the same size. However, it has now spread to two lymph nodes, which means we’re now looking at trials.
I noticed there was an ongoing European Pembrolizumab trial. Does anyone know:
If this is still recruiting?
If there are other ongoing uk trials which could be of relevance?
How successful other Pembrolizumab trials have been? I gather there are some very successful cases from reading here!Out of interest how much does pembrolizumab cost?
Thanks.
