Ask the doctor about her liver function tests. I am very well aware that fatigue is a sign of liver issues. particularly ammonia levels. Sleeplessness could also be attributed to liver issues aso can lack of appetite be a symptom

It frustrates her that every time she goes to a doctor appointment they ask her if she’s depressed and want to put her on antidepressants. I sincerely mean it I do not feel that that is our issue. I think the lack of sleep is a huge causing the fatigue as for the muscle aches that I am unsure of.

How are her liver counts? The liver is primarily affected with CC. Fatigue is a symptom of liver issues and so is depression. So are muscle aches. Check it out. There are meds to be given to offset.
And as Lainy says, depression can hit even the most positive of us, especially so under the circumstances.
An anti anxiety/ anti depressent might help with the sleep issue and may have less after effects than a sleeping pill. You may need to see a specialist in the field to get an opinion on this.
Other solutions – have you tried aromatherapy – candles, or oils which you can massage her with? Hope you find a solutionSeptember 8, 2016 at 5:02 am #93165lainySpectatorHi, Daisy. After my Teddy had his Whipple he would get very tired and went on a regime of B12 shots once a month. Made a huge difference and we could tell about the beginning of the 4th week his energy level would zap. The other thing I was thinking about was Thyroid. Could it be that? And, I know that depression can all of a sudden just hit so it would not be a bad idea to mention this to the DOC. Sometimes our patterns just take a change when we are going through or have gone through big changes to the body. Sometimes when I have trouble sleeping a cup of hot tea helps or I will put music on very softly. Best of luck.

My mom has been feeling extremely tired and very achy. Her most recent scan showed a tiny suspicious nodule on her lung and her lymph node that lit up recently is considered stable. Our doctor seemed pleased actually and felt that we should sit tight and wait. Her tumor marker numbers are at an all-time low so things should be good?? Sitting tight and watching has never been our game plan battling this cancer we’ve always been proactive not reactive. We are seeking second opinions however our immediate concern is her lack of appetite, extreme fatigue and muscle aches. She’s also not sleeping well which certainly has an effect on her energy. She has no appetite…. The only advice the doctors offer is asking her if she’s depressed. That is so not her mojo, she pushes herself no matter what. During chemo she was able to run and now undergoing NO treatment can barely make it through 3 miles of walking per day. Sleeping pills make her super tired the next day? Any thoughts on what’s cooking? I looked at her most recent blood test results her vitamin levels are very low, she is now taking vitamin B 12 and a multivitamin. I am wondering if receiving vitamin B injectiions could help and any advice on tricks to help her sleep.
