what other drugs do you use beside gemzar ? how gemzar is used ?Starting chemo again tomorrow, same as before, Gemzar every 2 weeks. The oncologist calls it maintenance chemo. The doctor recommended that I stay on the blood thinner due to the fact that I had a blood clot so I must be prone to them. but when I told him that I wasn’t looking forward to giving myself more injections in my tummy he put me on Zarelto which comes in pill form. It has been 19 days since my last chemo and I must say I still feel tired, specially by the afternoon. I read somewhere that chemo side affects can last for weeks/months after the last chemo? So, it is a wait and see until next scan in 3 months.I am not complaining as it could be a lot worse.
YEA, dear Brigitte! Good, good news, so happy to read this. I feel that if one lesion grew so little the other didn’t that is super! How is your daughter doing? Keep the good news coming!

MarionI saw my oncologist today at MD Anderson for the results of my scan. He is happy with how I am doing. He said one lesion only grew to 2 mm and the other didn’t so he recommends I continue with Gemzar for the next 3 months. An ablation is not the best treatment at the moment according to him.
So, onward until next scan.
