    Just for clarity – Avastin is not chemo; rather, it’s an angiogenesis inhibition agent frequently used in combination with chemo agents. The overall effect is that the chemo agents may perform better when used in conjunction with Avastin.

    Lot of contoversey over use of Avastin and other chemo drugs. Who benefits. who pays, should different chemos be tried on other cancers when little to no effect on cancer it was designed for. One lady with gastric cancer appears to have tried almost as much different chemos as I. Difference of opinion on cost and mark up. shows some doctors willing to step up and try different regimens while others afraid to due to possibally loosing their license. Quite an article. Qusestions being raised why FDA has approved so many cancer drugs that show little to no benefit and why it is being allowed to go on.
