Hi Gramma Sophie….. Congratulations Ha! My daughter just sent me some pics of my grandson’s fisrt day at first grade. Man ! Not a tear in his eyes this year, so grown up.

I’ve informed my 20-year old daughter and 21-year old son that it is time for them to start finding a spouse and giving me grandchildren. I’m serious, because I don’t know how much time I have left.
I don’t like Oxycodone, because I’m still working and can’t afford to be running and creating T-SQL database scripts while half zonked!

Sophie, many congratulations on your soon to be born first grandchild. There is nothing to compare to being a Grandmother! We live in an active adult community in Phoenix and let me tell you that the short tennis skirts some of these octegenarians wear are more daring than the 2 piece bathing suits! As for the Oxycodone, happy, happy. I took 1/2 of one the other night for some back pain and for the whole next day I was in la la land. We love hearing from you and wishing you the very best, Grandma!!!!

Lisa, I’m planning a beach trip too. I like to stay at the Blue Sea Inn in San Diego. It’s right on the beach, and I like walking along the boardwalk….not to mention watchng all the very UNUSUAL people also walking on the boardwalk. I’m amazed at the octegenarians in two pieces jetting along on a pair of skates. I’m pretty impressed too actually.
Irene, are you pumping some iron to build up for that upcoming (ahem) procedure? I’m thinking of you each day.
Did I tell you guys I’m going to be a grandma for the first time in January? I’ve been waiting to be a grandma for so long.
Why didn’t somebody tell me that oxycodone (sp) would make me feel like I felt before I knew I had cc? It makes me feel so happy.

Sophie, I’m glad you gave us an update. I was thinking about you. I hope you enjoyed your time with your sister. I’m trying to do fun things, too. Went to the ocean last weekend with my youngest daughter and her friend. If I gotta go, I want to leave some good memories behind!
Although I’m not planning to go for a few years yet!

Two weeks ago I was in Truckee for a week. Well, here I am again, and it’s all because you guys have made me so spontaneous and free-spirited. I’m on my off week of Xeloda and Gemzar, and Hollie, my niece, said come on up, and I said, “Why not?” My sister did most of the driving because Tahoe is about 500 miles from my house. She is heading back home to Iowa in a couple of weeks. I love the mountains. I wish you could be sitting out on the deck in the swing glider with me.
I am rather off schedule with my treatment because of problems getting the Xeloda. So far I have had 3 bad experiences with it, but I’ll save that for when I get home because I’ll be asking for advice.
Irene, are you gearing up for the surgery?
