Colleen -this is very late -I just started reading on this site again. I am so very sorry it broke my heart to see that you lost your Fred, you and I connected very early when we exchanged emails and posts about you Fred and my Tom. And I received your kind card of condolence last March when I lost Tom -thank you. I do not have your address or email anymore or I would contact you privately. I was so hoping things would be different for you both, and I was unable to come back on this site for some time, as I was dealing with my grief. I just read all your posts, as I was anxious to hear about you and Fred. Am so very sorry, I know so very well the hell you went through, and you and the girls have a such a tough road ahead. I have a few months on you, and I know only too well the pain you must be feeling. I was so hoping you would have an easier time of it, as I convinced myself that we would have had more ime too if the embollisms had not taken over…but this terrible monster has robbed us -as it has so many others, I hope you find some comfort in your children and that the sun will shine for you again someday. Please feel free to contact me at my new email adress if you should care to touch base sometime. michelechase8@gmail.com
September 23, 2008 at 12:22 pm #22881karenSpectatorDear Colleen and girls,
So very sorry on the passing of Fred. I offer my prayers and hope each day the pain subsides just a tiny, tiny bit. It is so unfair that this cruel disease has taken a man that was so young and needed by his family. Let the Lord wrap his arms around you in blessing.

MarionSeptember 22, 2008 at 10:49 pm #22876darlaSpectatorColleen,
You & the girls are in my thoughts & prayers. My husband passed away 9-2-08 at the age of 62 after a very short battle with this dreaded cancer. I felt that was too young. For your Fred it was truly way too young. We can only console ourselves that our loved ones are in a better place & are no longer suffering. They will be in our hearts forever. I’m am so sorry for your loss.

Jeff G.September 22, 2008 at 4:14 pm #22873lainySpectatorColleen, we are very sad to hear of your husband’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
September 22, 2008 at 4:07 pm #22872carol58SpectatorDear Colleen, I am so sorry. I have followed your story from the beginning. Your husband was diagnosed a couple of months before mine. He went through a battle with you and your daughters right there beside him. He was so brave to undergo so many treatments. Fred was way too young – 38 I think? It’s very natural for you and your girls to be in disbelief. I don’t know the right words to say…just I’m sad and I’m sorry. Hugs and prayers for you and your girls.
Carol
September 22, 2008 at 3:19 pm #1562colleenSpectatorFred lost his battle with this horrible disease on Tuesday, September 16. My girls and I are still in shock and disbelief. I can’t thank everyone on this board for all of the support, chats and responses I have gotten since I joined in May 2007. – Colleen
