I dont know how I missed your post. Charlie sounds like he is doing great. I am sending the best possible thoughts and prayers that Charlie is heading to Cary and Dr. Kennedy. Please let us know how it goes.Kris

Joyce MLainy, I hope this week will be better for Teddy. That would be a sight, wouldn’t it if we went after the insurance companies!? Keep lighting those candles Teddy. Lainy, praying for Cigna to do what they need to do for him. Let us know how the PET scan goes on Mon.

Way to go Phenomenon Man(couldn’t you have picked an easier word to spell?) Sounds like Charlie’s credo is the same as Teddy’s “ATTITUDE”. I went to a luncheon yesterday and sat with a friend who has Lymphoma and she was telling me that every time she feels scared she thinks of Teddy telling her that ATTITUDE is every thing. Hey, maybe I should change his name to attitude man! He went through quite a week last week, still has the mass where his duodenum used to be and when people see him they can’t believe he has cancer! Sometimes I feel they don’t really believe me. We are praying for Charlies BC and Teddy’s Cigna to give their OKs or you and I will go together and give them what for!!! Teddy lights a CC candle every Sunday at Mass. Keep us posted. T goes for his PET Scan Monday, thats one of his birthday gifts!

Hey Lainy, didn’t want to steal Teddy’s Miracle Man status, but we have some Miracle Men, don’t we?
On Charlie’s break from chemo, after about every procedure known for cc, we met with Dr. Kennedy in Cary, NC about the SIRspheres procedure. We met with him last summer, but when UNC Hosp. called about the resection, we didn’t go through with it at that time. Well, a year later, we’re now just waiting for Blue Cross to approve it, hoping and praying to have it done the first of Dec. In the meantime, Charlie will get another oxaliplatin infusion along with Xeloda pills this week to try to keep the tumors stable until BC gives approval. Dr. Kennedy couldn’t believe how good Charlie looks and acts with all he’s been through and his liver function and lab tests are good. I think it’s his good attitude, faith in God, sense of humor and lots of love piled on him. It’s gotta’ help! I am truly amazed at how well he takes all the chemo and procedures and diagnostic tests with very little complaint. Please add Charlie to your prayers for the procedure to be approved. Thank you!
