Sorry, can’t answer your question about the MUGA but I feel your pain with regard to waiting for doc appts. and telling docs things they don’t seem to hear.
I am sorry but cc patients who are near the end cannot wait for long periods of time, it is very tiring, once when we went to the onc my mom told him the pain med was not working anymore and he sent her right over for a direct consult with a pain specialist who was 5 minutes away, when we got there I inquired about wait times and advised them she was in pain and very fatigued already and if they couldn’t see her soon we would schedule an appt. to return and they said to wait, it wouldn’t be long and it took them forever, at least an hour and I felt so bad for bringing my mother there in the first place.
Then, the nurse came and took her whole history, which includes a heart attack, and we gave a list of her meds, which included blood thinners. Then the doc came in and went over her history and meds again and he recommended a pain pump but said he would have to do a test shot of something to make sure she wouldn’t react adversely to the procedure to install the pump so the nurse brings in a consent form to sign and I am looking at it and I ask, “Will this shot interact with any of her meds?” and the pain doc asks if she is on blood thinners! Well, of course, she is, we already talked about all that with you and your nurse! The scary part was he had the needle in his hand.
