Hi, Jeff: I was hoping for better news, though I am glad that you gave the Tarceva a try. I saw my onco doc today at MD Anderson, and he says that Tarceva is still “trial and error”, and they don’t know yet why some respond and others don’t. You are brave for giving it a shot! My hat is off to you, as always. You are my favorite poster; please continue to contribute! Sending you good wishes every day.

January 26, 2009 at 12:45 am #25702marjoSpectatorHello Jeff: I’m kind of new and quiet. When I first found this website, I kept seeing your helpful advice and optimism. Though my Mom had already left us, I still kept on reading in the hopes that there is some good news. You were always the good news (even when it was bad). You made a difference to a lot of us. Thank you.
January 24, 2009 at 3:07 am #25701jcleggMemberHi Jeff,
I am sorry your news was not better, but have hopes that something else will crop up to help you – a result of your research, maybe – and will say a prayer to our lord to be with you in your search.Joyce C.

January 23, 2009 at 8:27 pm #25698carol58SpectatorHey Jeff, accepting the Lord’s guidance is easier said than done, but I know you will just as Charlie and I have. We pray for strength and peace for all of us and acceptance of God’s will for us.
Much love,
CarolJanuary 23, 2009 at 7:43 pm #25697karenSpectatorDear Jeff,

I just ditto everything everybody else has said. We love you Jeff and pray that you will continue to stay strong until that cure comes. It could be one lab mistake away. I’ve read how often things are discovered completely unintentionally from a mistake that was made during research. So who knows? Take care and keep up the positive attitude.Bless you and your family. This is not the answer we wanted. You continue to amaze and strenghten all of our resolve in dealing with this monster of a disease. Hang in there and continue to keep the faith.
As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

You are amazing, taking it all with aplomb. It’s true what Sophie says and I have said it before, you are a walking encyclopedia on cc. Keep on keeping on, we’re right there with you.

January 23, 2009 at 2:41 am #25690sophieMemberWell, my dear dear Jeff, this isn’t the report card we were all hoping for you, but you certainly don’t need any tutoring. All the doctors know you’re smarter than they are about cholangio. If I didn’t follow your advice, I never would have gone to the mountains the 3 or 4 times I did among another snippets of sound advice that has helped me cross a bump. I don’t even know what to say except you’re living your life to the fullest each day, and it takes strength to do that. I’m not doing that, and I’m ashamed of myself when I think of you. Every night the name Jeff is in my prayers, and it will continue to be. You have so much faith, attitude, and love to sustain you, Jeff, that I am humbled to be one of your web girls.
Faith in you, Jeff
