My brother, who is a cancer survivor, calls it “chemo-nesia”. I definitely have it!

    Lisa,

When my Mom was on the Gemzar, Oxiliplatin, Nexavar and now currently on the Xelolda, our family decided that “CHEMO BRAIN” is a recognizable, and yes contaigious phenomenom. It will affect all members of the family and is a wonderful excuse whenever something is forgotten, lost or misplaced. ex: I can’t find the car keys…must be chemo brain. Forgot to mail a bill or send an email…….must be chemo brain. Don’t feel like cooking dinner tonight…..definitely must be chemo brain.

The Chemo brain phenomenon has been one of the few bright spots! LOL…

Hang in there…Most of these days I waiver between having a blonde moment, a senior moment or a chemo brain reaction!!!

Gotta find the humor where ever we can!

No thank you! I rather use my age. Its great, Lisa. I have earned the right to say what I want and everyone else chalks it up to my age. Teddy has lots of aches and pains but then he is 76. You are probably right about the chemo as you are still just a young girl!!!

Am I the only one who is hyper-sensitive about every little ache and pain in my body? I don’t know if these things are normal or to blame it on the cancer or the chemo.

Some of my pains may be just normal stuff, but I don’t know if it is or not. It’s frustrating!

When I do stupid things, or forget things, or say dumb things, I blame it on the chemo! Handy excuse, you should try it.
