Oxaliplatin

My mom is currently taking a break from chemo, but she has been on Gemzar, Oxaliplatin, and Xeloda. She received a letter from Medicare saying that they wouldn’t pay for the Oxaliplatin. The total was going to be in the few thousands of dollars. The dr office worked with the insurance company and got it approved. Just wanted to pass this information on to make sure that everyone knows to talk to your drs office if you ever run across this.
