Dearest Susan, I was so saddened to hear of Harmony’s passing. I reread a number of her posts and her blog and realized what a perfect name you gifted to her. A celebration of life is perfect for that is what Harmony did, she celebrated life; especially when baking cookies and yummy cinnamon buns and doing things for her family! I could tell by her posts what a sweetheart she was. I know how much you will miss her. She will be with you forever and you will see her everyday in your beautiful grandson. I feel your pain and wish I could lessen it. Take care of yourself Susan and keep in touch. We will continue Harmony’s fight. We all live with hope, just as she did and one day the prayers will be answered and cholangiocarcinoma will take no more. Nancy

May 16, 2011 at 6:46 pm #29557harmonys_momMemberThank you all! Your kind works of support are sooooo appreciated.
We had a “Celebration of Life” ceremony for her yesterday, as Harmony did not want a funeral or memorial service. It was spectacular! So many friends, family and colleagues spoke of her resilient spirit and her need to live her life AROUND her cancer. I can only hope that I will be half the gal she was if I am ever faced with a similar challenge. I sure do miss her.

I too am saddened by Harmony’s passing. She was an inspiration to me and her positive attitute and zest for life was evident in all of her posts. She will not only be missed by her family but also by her CC family on this board.
I know that she is at peace and no longer suffering with the many issues that having CC can bring. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I know she will be missed by her husband and her young son. She will live on in your heart and memories.
Go with God.
Hugs,

I am so sorry to hear that Harmonys’ journey on earth has come to an end. Her inspiration and spirit will be truly missed on this site. As a parent, I can only imagine the loss you are feeling right now. May the angels surround with you with light and in time I pray that the memories you made with your daughter will fill you all with warmth. Thanks for posting, it must have been really difficult. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!
CherylMay 12, 2011 at 11:20 pm #29553pamSpectatorDear Susan, my heartfelt sympathy for you and your family. Your post on this site was refreshing and wise. I see now where Harmony got her talent for writing and understanding of life. I enjoyed Harmony’s blog so much and wondered recently how she was doing. So thank you for letting us know. Her pumpkin pie and cinimanon roll posts were my favorites. Her attitude and zest of life was such an inspiration for so many people. She will truly be missed.

As a mom myself, my heart is breaking for you, but rejoicing in the promise we have that Harmony is in heaven with her Lord. In eternity’s time, it will be just a blink of an eye and we will be with her.
Your message to all of us is beautiful. Thank you so much for posting it.
With God’s love,
KathyMay 12, 2011 at 9:40 pm #29551marionsModeratorDear Mutti……Thank you so much (thank you, Harmony) for thinking of us, your buddies) at this sad time. We have lost another warrior never to be forgotten. In her blog Harmony expressed a lust for life. We will never forget her inspirational baking skills and the numerous funny quotes. My favorite is: “When life hands you lemons, eat a pop tart.” It so much describes as who she was.
My heart goes out to you and your family. May your heart begin to heal…one day at a time.
And, may Harmony be one more reason for us to find a cure for this ruthless cancer.
All my love,

May 12, 2011 at 8:45 pm #29554lainySpectatorDear Susan my heart is breaking for you as yours is and yet you took the time to let us know about Harmony. I can see the apple didn’t fall far from the tree and you produced a wonderful daughter. I always say Mother’s never really leave their children but I also believe the other way, that children don’t really leave their Mothers. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies to your family.
May 12, 2011 at 6:14 pm #2412harmonys_momMemberDear All,
Some of you may have known Harmony from blogs on this site. She asked me to post for her upon her death but she slipped away from me so fast that she didn’t have a chance to leave me her words. So…I will leave you mine.
My beautiful, 32 year old daughter, Harmony, lost her fight with this awful cancer on Saturday, April 30th. She was married with a 5 year old son. Harmony survived 19 months after diagnosis – she was my “warrior”, and an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Throughout her battle, Harmony continued to live her life, (being the best mom she could, continuing to build her relationship with her soul mate/husband, and actively working as an accountant,) firmly believing that this crappy disease was not going to control her life. And it didn
