Kay….further testing down the road will give the physician a pretty good idea as to whether the chemotherapy was effective. Therefore, a good physician with much CC experience, a positive outlook, and tons of hope for the treatment choice to be successful go hand in hand with cancer.
I am wishing for good news real soon.

kay. its unlikely of side effect of chemo . the most likey thing could be infection in the throat or adjoining areas because of lower immunity with chemo . or other wise. most of the time secondary spread of the stomach cancers is in neck called as virchows nodes. any way with few doses of antibiotics things would be clear

Kay……I have read about swollen lymp nodes in cancer patients but, I don’t recall ever reading it on this board. Hopefully, someone will be able to answer you. Also, has an infection been ruled out?

    Hi all,

Dad has one lymph node on the side of his neck that has become swollen. He just had his 3rd treatment of chemo last thursday. Is swolled glands/lymph nodes a side effect of chemo??

    Thx
    kay
