    Hair today, gone tomorrow.

Lisa, I have to admit losing my hair has been harder than I thought it would. I cant believe how much I complain and whine about it considering I am terminal and there are so many other things which are worse! I realised that the one thing I always wanted to be was me, and it is so much harder when you look different.

However, I do like wearing scarves! you can be quite sassy with them. If I have the time, I will give you some links that show you different ways to tie them so you can jazz it up some. I havent got the wig yet, perhaps I will order one later this week. I do think I will be a scarf vs wig girl. I have about 15 now that I play around with and it is easy to match mood and color and personality with them.

I hope the new chemo goes well. Best of luck!

Gee, Lisa, so sorry to hear you became a beet! Also too bad you and Kris don’t live closer you could shop together for hats and scarves. Another bump in the road that I know you will over come. Please, just stay strong as I know you are a good fighter. We think about you all the time and just wish things could go easier.

I was getting my oxaliplatin infusion yesterday. When I got up to use the restroom my oncology nurse stopped me because she noticed my face was beet red.

The called the doc right away and he determined that I had developed an allergy to the oxaliplatin. Strange, eh! He sad that it is not unknown for people to develop an allerge when they have been off it a couple months as I was.

So the immediately stopped the chemo and started me on Benadryl, flushed the tubes, and sent me home to sleep it off.

Unfortunately this means that I have to start a new chemo (next week, probably), and the new chemo will make me lose my hair.

I’m pretty bummed about losing my hair, although then I will look like a “real” cancer patient, haha!
