Wow, Louise, we had no idea. Sure hope you are on the way to a quick recovery. It sounds so much like the surgery I just had, almost identical. They call my cancer a Stromal or a Gist tumor. Is that what you had? I just had a feeling something was wrong. Sending you all kinds of good thoughts and hope you get out soon.

Due to Louise’s absence from the discussion board I took it upon myself to e-mail her. I would like to share with your her response:
Hi, Marion,I am in hospital and had major surgery last Thursday. They’ve removed part of my colon, my appendix, part of my small intestines. They put in a Central Line for feeding and I still cannot eat anything by mouth. I do have a stoma, but nothing has come from it yet. No word on how long I’ll be in the hospital, but probably chemo and maybe radiation to start again soon.
