Ha ha Julia, he’d love that…..

As I write I am looking out of my window and there are a snow ‘family’ in the close in front of my house!! 2 of the figures must be 7 feet tall!! No signs of any melting either, apparently -14 in Manchester last night. We just aren’t used to it are we?

Hope Susan had a good ngiht following her treatment.

Looking forward to hearing from you when you get a chance, Katie – but no rush; I know you’ve got a lot on at the moment.

She managed to get to Guy’s (where she’s having chemo) by bus this morning & came back by tube. She had a friend with her so I stayed home & chewed my nails whilst monitoring the TFL (Transport for London) website for any additional travel problems. All went well – phew!!

It’s stopped snowing where I am but the College I work at has closed until Monday, too – maybe your son & I could go out & make snowballs together during our time off ;)

    Hi there Julia,

Thanks for your email, I do know I am overdue for a reply! Glad Susan’s chemo went well today. Did you manage to get there OK in the snow? We have had about 10 inches on Monday night and everywhere is eerily quiet, no buses for 2 days and generally people staying home…. Schools locally closed til Monday so my son very pleased!!

Thank you all for your support & understanding. I think it hit my sister later than it did me & she had a really bad chemo session last Wednesday but today’s gone well & she’s asleep now.

All my best wishes to you for a happier 2010.

    Hi Julia,

I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of two of Susan’s hospital ‘friends’. Sending my best wishes to both you and Susan and hoping cycle 4 goes well on Wednesday……

SO sorry, Julia. Sometimes the bad news comes to remind us how lucky we are even in our situations.

Thank you, Walk, Amy, Gavin, for your support & understanding. It’s so good to be able to come here & talk like this. Then, back into the fray – the fight most definitely will go on!!

My best wishes to you all.

    Julia,

I am sorry to hear this and that you are both shaken up a bit by this news. I hope you and your sister don’t give up hope and that you certainly don’t give up fighting. Give your sister a big hug and my best wishes to the two of you.

Lalupes, I am so sorry. Through Mom’s illness she met two local women who have cc, I hesitated to let them know that Mom had passed away, because I didn’t want to bring their hopes down. Thankfully they are both doing well and still cancer free. I just wish that Mom was in the same position that they are. Much love to your family.

I am always sorry to hear of CC claiming more lives. May they rest in peace.

My sister heard yesterday that 2 lovely, lovely women she met in hospital in the summer have sadly died. They were the 3 CC patients on the ward & now 2 of them have gone. It’s shaken us all up.

Dear Rosa; Dear Janet – you are very much loved & very much missed. Our thoughts are with your families.
