Neat! I am a scientist – chemist by training and am very familiar with Raman spectroscopy. I often feel left out when trying to navigate the research on cancer because I am so not a biologist. I just love it when I come across something that I DO understand well in this realm. Thanks for posting that.

Yep, as you say, new discoveries and techniques are being tried and pioneered all the time, and one day, we will get there. I have never heard of Raman noodles before, but I do like noodles!
Yes mum and I are okay and it is not as cold here now as it has been for the last few weeks! I hope you and Teddy got through the storms okay and that the rain did your yard some good. Seeing some green at this time of the year just would not happen here and your yard does indeed sound very beautiful!
You know, I was talking to mum the other day about all of you here that live in the US and trying to explain to her where you all live and what the weather is like etc. And mum couldn’t really get her head round the fact that you live in the middle of a desert! Living in Scotland, we are many miles indeed from a desert! Although she could easily relate to the sort of weather that Darla experiences!

When I first saw the Raman name I was thinking Raman noodles as we are always talking about food!!! Ya know, it’s like we keep saying, new discoveries all the time. Hope you and mum are doing very well and perhaps warming up. We just had STORMS all day every day for 5 days, but then we need the rain here. Our yard is all little rocks and I see some green peeking up already. You would be amazed at the way the desert blooms! Starting in March until fall its like a symphony, very beautiful.Hi all,

I saw a piece in our local newspaper yesterday about this new technique being developed at St Andrews university and thought I would share it here.
