    Yes, nk it is hard. Some days are harder than others, but we just do the best we can. Do reach out for help & support when you feel the need and keep coming back here, too. I don’t think the feelings of sadness and loss every truely go away, but it does get better. With time we learn how to live with it all. With Love & Hugs, Darla

    nk….This is the time to reach out for support and, lot’s of it. In addition to reaching out to the members of this site have you considered joining a support group or, speaking with a grievance counselor? And, then there is our Dr. Giles on our site. His infinite wisdom has helped many of us bridge some difficult times. He will respond to you. You may also want to read up on some of his responses to others which, you will find addresses many of your thoughts and feelings. Either way please,

    There will be a lot of “firsts”, but the memories will take over and become happy ones instead of sad. Time heals, and the living help tremendously. Stay here and you can receive a lot of support.

    nk…as Julia has said please, stay on this board. You will receive much support from all. Having lost my husband to this disease I so much can relate to your feelings. Your heart needs to heal….one day at a time. And, it will become easier as time goes on.
