Joyce,
I’m sorry to hear about your husband. I wish you, your husband and your family peace and comfort during this painful time. It is hard for me to imagine going through what you are but it is obviously something we all need to prepare for. As much as we hope for cure recurrence just seems inevitable. God bless you and give you strength. MaryMay 2, 2007 at 10:26 am #15703jberg597MemberThank you all for your kind words. I know all of you share our pain in one way or another. This morning my husband will have a G-tube inserted to try to get him some relief. I am praying this does the trick. I will let you know. God bless.

I wish your husband relief from his awful symptoms and enough peaceful time to be with family and friends. I wish you both strength and courage in these difficult days.

After reading your message, really feel sorry for you and your family and the difficult time that you are going through. I sincerely hope that you husband pulls through and I hope that his symptoms ease. I believe that your husband is a courageous man and I know he will have the strength to fight this all the way. Hang in there and you are in our prayers.
Best Wishes.

I surely pray that he gets some relief real soon. I too at the age of 51 with this horrible disease know I’ll have to make the same decision sooner or later. My heart sincerely aches for you both and your family. I’m just lost for words joyce. God Bless you and your Husband and may he guide you through this trying time.

I am so sorry and I wish your husband relief of his symptoms and some comfort and peace. The same to you and your family, also. He has fought a valiant battle, as you said. Hopefully you will have some wonderful last moments together and know that you did everything possible to beat this horrible illness.Much love going your way,
Joyce
April 30, 2007 at 11:36 pm #467jberg597MemberI sit hear with a heavy heart to report that my husband, age 51, has decided to begin hospice. He started his battle in October of ’05 and has fought valiantly. His journey started with a liver resection. He has taken every chemo offered to him as well as two different sessions of radiation without ever missing a day due to complications or low blood counts. This cancer just won’t quit. It has invaded several parts of his body (liver, lungs, pelvis, abdomen). If that isn’t enough, he can not stop vomiting. He is getting no fluids or food down. The vomiting is so intense that he was admitted to the hospital tonight for symptom control. We can’t seem to get him to a comfortable state enough to be with family and friends. Please pray that this latest stay in the hospital will give him this small break to enjoy some time with those he cares about. I continue to pray that there will someday be a cure to this disease so no other family suffers the way we all are.
Thank you all.
