I have been on Gemzar/Xeloda for 19 months. During this time I’ve been
Very lucky. No hospitalizations, no stints, just basic side affects from chemo like
Loss of hair, loss of appetite, and hand food syndrome.
I had my every six week scan Tuesday and met with Dr. Lenz and Taline
Today. The only change to my report is that my largest tumor in my left lobe went from 3.0 cm to 3.1 cm. They both felt this was not a cause for concern and are keeping me on the same chemo. Dr lenz feels this small change does
Not warrant switching cocktails. He knows what he will use next and wants to wait 6 weeks and look at the next scan. He feels that with the slim chemo
Options with this disease we keep them, if we feel they are effective. I’m happy withs decision and totally trust his judgement. Now I move on to
Finish my Christmas shopping. Merry Christmas to you all. Jesus is born!
    Julie
