Tiff…the downward trend of the CA 19-9 truly is thrilling to see. I am very excited for you. Keep it up.
The breathing difficulties very well may not be of any concern but I believe that it something unexplainable is presenting that we should make the effort to find an explanation of cause. And, for that we have the specialists.
The thing on your finger is called pulse oximeter (saturometer.)
Again, dear Tiffany, you are doing wonderful.
All my best wishes,
MarionJanuary 18, 2012 at 2:55 am #56676peggypMemberHi Tiffany,
Great news on the numbers going down! I hope they figure out what’s causing your shortness of breath. Glad your chemo is going well; keep fighting the fight because you have two precious children that will keep you motivated to hang in there. Sending lots of well wishes your way, PeggyP
January 18, 2012 at 2:51 am #56675pamelaSpectatorWooHoo indeed. Let’s hope it is working for you as well. I got a good feeling that it is. Keep up the good fight, Tiffany. You are awesome.

January 18, 2012 at 2:25 am #56673pamelaSpectatorHe Tiffany,
I am glad your chemo went fairly well. Sorry about your shortness of breath. I hope you can figure out what is causing it. I think it is great your CA19-9 number is going down. Lauren’s have been all over the place but this last time hers was going down too. Her doctor didn’t seem to worry about those numbers as long as her MRI showed tumor shrinkage. Best of luck to you.
Love, -Pam

On our site we have seen, in rare cases, shortness of breath. Cisplatin also can cause breathing difficulties. In order to rule out anything significant I would consider making an appointment with a lung specialist.
Keep up the good numbers.
All my best wishes,
MarionI will look into seeing a lung specialist! Thanks for the advice. When they put that thing on my finger (not sure what its called LOL) it shows my oxygen is 100. So I’m not sure whats going on.
BUT…I am excited about my CA19-9 going down.January 18, 2012 at 12:27 am #56671lainySpectatorHey, Tiff, this looks good to me! We love to see the numbers go down. Keep up the great work and look forward to another good report!!!

MarionJanuary 17, 2012 at 11:20 pm #6215tiff1496MemberThings went good today with chemo #5. They had to do a D-DIMER because of some shortness of breath. That test came back fine. So, I still don’t know what is causing the shortness of breath, but guess I can live with it.
I got a copy of my CA19-9 here is how it looks.
11/21/2011– 128.8
12/5/2011– 139.2
01/03/2012– 105.2It gives me hope that the number is going down….maybe the chemo is doing something. Any thoughts?
