Marie…I also wanted to mention that a team of support should be available to your Dad.

Please, discuss this with the physician.

Marie….I am so sorry to hear of the newest development with your dear Dad. Controlling the pain is of most importance and I hope that this can be achieved asap.

Marie…do not be afraid to have the doctor qualify his comment. In fact, that is one of the most important things we can do when caring for our loved ones – to understand clearly the information given.

Please, keep us posted. We care.
    Hugs and love,
    Marion

It has been quite some time since my last posting.

Everything seemed to be going good. Cancer had been stable, until January.

My dad had been a lot of pain in right side of abdomen to chest and back.

CT scan shows that the cancer spread to the pancreas, wall abdomen, new mass in liver , enlarged para-aortic lymph nodes and nodules to the lungs.

The chemo regimen changed, within the first week he ends up in the hospital with what they said was infection in his colon. The pain is getting worse by the minute.

The doctors are wanting us to meet with pain management before leaving the hospital to treat him at home, does this mean that we are reaching the end of the road.. I’m so scared and sad. I cannot see my Dad suffer like this.

Considering his Cancer the doctor says he is in good health so what does that mean?

    Has anyone had same experience?
