Audrey, as of now it’s July 11. I have to call Dr. K’s office to see if she wants me up there anytime soon. If it changes I will let you know.
I know this wasn’t really necessary to post in good news, but I needed to post in good news. There’s been so much bad news lately… I can’t take much more without celebrating even a small victory.

Kris…I agree with Karen. As in any profession – some people are better than others.

Good new Kris. My brother had the same thing happen with his pic line. I do think some nurses just don’t have the “feel”. And no sense in worrying about that which you have no control over.
    In peace,
    Karen

Went to Dr. Lee’s (Princeton) today and was expecting to get some meds to unclog the “gunk” that gets into ports. 2 weeks ago they couldn’t get blood return. They even reaccessed my port and no go. I wonder if it’s the nurse now??? She tried 2x and they ordered the meds. I went in today expecting to get them, and guess what?? Blood return!!! I am so happy that I don’t have to worry anymore.
But they refilled my pump and the same nurse tried to access it. She failed 2x. So the other nurse had to do it.
I wonder if it’s the nurse?? Maybe she just doesn’t have a good “touch” where I’m concerned.
I’m just relieved it’s over and I can quit worrying about that now… now it’s on to worrying about radiation and the size of my nodes, etc……
