ModeratorMorning Lainy! Yes the Frozen Tundra game, I’ve seen some footage from that game in film clips they’ve shown during other games and that one looked cold!!! Playoff football in playoff weather, love it! Never knew that Teddy had season tickets and with a 30 year wait for them now, impressive!
Always up for some football history here! Not long until the season starts now! Although I am not looking forward to the winter temps that we get here when the playoff’s are on……lol
Have a good day!

SpectatorGavin, yes, the Pack is owned by the people of Greenbay, Wi. By the way, Teddy had season tickets and I don’t know if you ever heard of the BIG game that dubbed Greenbay the Frozen Tundra but Teddy was at that game in Greenbay. The Packers have sold out every game since 1960, and more than 81,000 names remain on the waiting list (with a reported average wait time of 30 years). The stadium’s nickname was spawned by the Ice Bowl between the Packers and the Dallas Cowboys, played on December 31, 1967. The game was played in temperatures of –15°F (–26°C) with sharp winds. There you go all you Football fans!

ModeratorGood stuff Percy. And yes, a cooling day for you would bring some welcome relief to that searing heat that you guys had over there! Starting training camp in that heat will certainly sort the men from the boys! Never knew that about the contracts, must be the way the new guy wants to do business and glad that Forte signed last year! Big season this one for Briggs, and as usual I’ll be backing our Bears. 33/1 so if we win that will pay for my flight! 8/1 for the 49ers and 10/1 for Lainy’s Packers. Bronco’s favs at 6 and Pats at 8. Always the optimist me, go Bears!
Never knew your Pack had their biggest earning seasons these last 2 years Lainy. I guess that football is most certainly not on the decline financially then. No wonder considering how much tickets cost for games and throw in the TV revenue as well, big bucks all round! As far as I am aware, your Packers are the only team that is owned by it’s fans still are they not. And yes, I’m sure that Teddy loves this!

SpectatorGavin and Percy….Did you know? The Packers had their biggest revenue season ever in their history this last year and still owned by the people of Greenbay. Nice. I am sure Teddy loves this.

MemberHi, Gavin,
I got it.
thanks and be sure to say hi to you mum.
today is 68F cold, cloudy, but it is still a welcome relieve .
The BEARS are starting their practices; nobody talks about contracts until all the physicals AND time trials are complete. Even our long time the best field goal kicker cannot get a contract signed; this is I think how the new coach works.God bless.
