NCI
We appreciate your continued interest in the activities of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) during the government shutdown. NCI is making every effort to protect life and property, with essential personnel remaining to protect research and continue ongoing protocols. In terms of intramural research, doctors will continue to see patients at the NIH Clinical Center; however, no new research may begin. Extramural research cannot be funded at this time due to the lack of appropriations for Fiscal Year 2014. Please continue to monitor major media outlets for updated information about federal operations.
