This is great news!!! I am so thrilled for you. Ask Dave to start those prayers for me. CT scan is scheduled for 1/7 and I really want to hear the word shrinkage!!!

WillowI know that tumors markers, for some, are not a good indication of cancer but for me, when my number has been elevated I have had new tumors. In June, my CA 19-9 went to 14, this was the first time in over three years that I was in the normal range. In September my number jumped to 42 and then 44 in October. I also had a PET scan at this time which was clear except for a very small spot that lit up in the liver. The radiology report stated that it could be scar tissue or possible the beginning of a recurrence. The plan was to follow up with blood work in seven weeks. My blood work this week was all good and my CA 19-9 went down to 28 and my CEA went to 1.1. My husband has been praying that my number would be 28, I told him he was crazy for the last seven weeks. You can imagine how blessed we felt when we heard the number 28.
