March 16, 2014 at 6:41 am #80836caring-wifeSpectatorMy husbands treatment is at Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Martinie surgeon. Dr. Stephen Deal GI. Dr. Crimauldi Radiology. Dr. Salmon ONC. We have been fighting steadily. At first on our mission at this spent 4 1/2 months straight in hospital.
March 16, 2014 at 6:35 am #80835caring-wifeSpectatorMy husband’s liver/liver duct cancer reoccurrence happened less than 6 weeks after having a large mass removed. GI said “outta real estate with stents. Radiology faired well. Chemo too physically unfit. He had Non Hodkins 30 years ago and they removed spleen and gallbladder. So it’s a more difficult task. Recovery of CRE was so hard to fight. Hospice referred via ONC yesterday. Which he said “not yet”! Strong minded and love it. Hangs in there outta love as “I do”.

DarlaMarch 15, 2014 at 2:33 pm #80833lainySpectatorDearest Kristin, I am so very sorry to have to welcome you to our family. For once I am at a loss for words. I am wondering if he has had a second opinion?
All I can say is be very strong, I know it is not easy but it helps. Does the ONC have a plan for treatment? You never know how strong you are until “strong” is the only choice you have! You are not alone as you will have a ton of support here. Please keep us updated as we all truly care.March 15, 2014 at 12:47 pm #80832iliasMemberYour post is so touching…you have come to the right place for understanding and support..I am not as knowledgeable as others on this site, but others with more experience will chime in.

MarionMarch 15, 2014 at 7:10 am #80830caring-wifeSpectatorThank you for the comforting words to my introduction. Emotional connecting I have had very little time for. His care has been extremely demanding. Ditto on hugs and blessings.

PorterMarch 15, 2014 at 5:22 am #9671caring-wifeSpectatorI was engaged 1 month prior to my groom being diagnosed with liver/liver duct cancer. Married 7 months later. Treatments have been the removal of large tumor off liver and multiple stents for ducts. Only to find reoccurrence again. Feed him via kangaroo pump machine and syringe feed water nightly. He is so weak daily as my heart breaks feeling cheated. Sadness is the biggest obstacle for us both. Time, tender moments, and memories seem all wish for.
