    Hi Lola,

Welcome to the site. Sorry that you had to find us all and I’m sorry to hear about your mum, but glad that you have joined in with us all as you’re in the right place for support and help and I know that you will get loads of both from everyone here. Education about everything to do with CC is so important and the better informed you are the better equipped you will be for making decisions about everything and with helping your mum.

Please come back often, post as much as you want and ask questions and we’ll do our best to help. Has your mum thought about getting a second or even a third opinion on the surgery and if so where? I hope that the PET gives some good news for your mum and please let us know how that goes. Please know as well that we are here for you and we care.

My best wishes to you and your mum,

    Gavin

Lola….welcome. You will receive tons of support on this site. In order to familiarize yourself with this disease and current treatment options, this free to download book may be of great help to you as well.

    Dear Lola,
I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. This board really helped me through caring for my mother. It was wonderful for finding out what questions to even ask. I see that you are in Ohio. That was where my aunt wanted my mom to go for another opinion as they were very helpful when my other aunt was going through the same thing.

Hugs to you and your momma,
    Michelle

    Dear Lola,

I too want to welcome you to the group. Glad you found us, but sorry you had a need to do so. You will get a lot of knowledge and support here.

I agree with Lainy that a second opinion is a good idea. Please let us know how things are going with your mom. We care.

    Love & Hugs,
    Darla

Dear Lola welcome to our wonderful family but so sorry to read about your Mom. Where is your Mom being treated and where is the CC located? We always encourage 2nd opinions and you do have time for that but know that surgery is the best way to beat CC. Read up as much as you can as knowledge is our most powerful tool. At the top of each page is a search engine. Just type a few words and the subject will pop up from other posts. You have come to the best place to be and take lots of deeps breaths it is a bumpy ride but we are all here for you. Feel free to ask, vent or advise and I am sorry you had to find us.

My mom, who is 70, got a dx of intrahepatic cholangio this week. They scheduled a surgery but they found abnormal areas on a CT scan and they’re doing a PET next wk. They said it might be mets.

I’m here for support and to offer support. I’m also here to educate myself and try to get my mom the best treatment I can to keep her alive as long as I can.

    Thanks
