Thanks all your support. Karen our insurance was a nightmare and also told us we had to go to Illinois. My employer changed insurance starting 1/1/08 and so we get to go to Philly but it is still “out of network” so we have to pay 40% up to $5000 out of pocket, then we’ll see what happens. The several hospitals around here ( Cape Cod ) and in Boston have basically told Dave “gemzar will prolong your life but not more than a year or so” and we want more hope than that, so we cling to Jeff G’s success and keep searching for answers. Take Care all. We’ll report back in when we have news.

That is wonderful news. It is ironic…our insurance company would only pay for us to go to CTCA in Chicago and we live about 45 minutes from the Philly center. We have opted not to go there yet because in our particular case/kind of insurance it is considered “out of network” and a whole slue of insurance limitations set in. Please keep us all posted as to the developments and suggestions they are able to offer. Best of luck and go with God.

Jeff G.We have good news! We finally got the insurance mess straightened out and Dave has an appt. at Cancer Treatment Center of America in Philly on Tuesday. We are hopeful but realistic that that may not have anything better to offer. Dave is really feeling lousy lately so anything will be an improvement we hope. Wish us luck.
