Hello Oceangirl,
I am so sorry for your loss. I totally understand the pain you are going through. I would love for you to be at the 2nd Annual Benefit. It is going to be an amazing night to raise awareness of Cholangiocarcinoma and to honor those we love. I would love to include your brother in this benefit. You can email me at: barbara6193@comcast.net.
Hugs to you,

Hope that the night is a roaring success and my thnaks to you once again. So looking forward to hearing how it goes and hopefully there will be some pictures as well!

MarionOctober 9, 2013 at 2:44 am #76445lainySpectatorHi Barbara, I know you are going to have a huge success because of your dedication, love and determination. How nice that you now have Rob to help this exceed last year’s fabulous event. My goodness but your Silent Auction items reads like a Department Store. Are you going to have News Coverage in some form? I also want to thank you for attending the Liver Meeting in DCA. And what do you do in your spare time. Wait, I know, you are playing with Brayden! Again thank you for all you do, NH is beautiful now, Fall is beautiful but most of all you are beautiful!

Thank you so much for bringing awareness and funding to this terrible disease. You could have mourned the loss of your beloved, Jacques and moved on with your life without being involved with this foundation anymore. But you chose to fight for all of us and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this.
You are one amazing woman!
Peace & Love,
MaryOctober 9, 2013 at 2:13 am #76443barbara6193SpectatorI have to add that the Children’s Books were donated by beautiful 5 year old grandson, Brayden (he is such an old soul) – he told me that he had to donate these books (as I bought the same ones for him last year) for “his Papi’s fundraiser”. My darling, Brayden, never had the honor of meeting his Papi, but my daughter was carrying him in the final stages of Jacques life and Jacques spent many hours listening to Brayden’s heartbeat with a stethoscope – I KNOW that my Brayden and his Papi are totally connected.
October 9, 2013 at 1:18 am #9008barbara6193SpectatorHello Everyone,
Well, here in New Hampshire I have been very busy preparing for the 2nd Annual Memorial Silent Auction Benefit – and it will be even busier for the next two and a half weeks working up to the Benefit, which is October 26th. This year the Benefit will again be in loving memory of my Jacques, who lost his battle with cholangiocarcinoma on November 10, 2007 and I am honored to also honor Becki Mignogna, from Manchester, NH, who lost her battle on January 17, 2013. Becki’s son Rob is co-chairing this event with me – and let me tell you – I truly know that my path in life was meant to meet up with Rob – he is amazing. This years Benefit is going to be bigger and better than last year.
I will admit, it is a lot of work and entails organization and dedication – but knowing that we are raising money for such an amazing foundation – makes it all worth while. If anyone ever wants to talk to me to help them with a fundraiser – please feel free to email me. I will post an update after the event – although it may be 2 weeks after the event – as the week after the event, I will be traveling to Washington, DC to represent all of you and CCF at the AASLD – The Liver Meeting, November 1 – 4.
Although cholangiocarcinoma took the love of my life, my best friend, my Jacques – it has made me one very determined woman – who will never stop fighting the fight to find a C.U.R.E for cholangiocarcinoma. The one way I know I can help is by hosting this fundraiser to raise money to help with the much needed research. I am truly blessed to have such a supportive family and a huge support system of friends – who are always there for me and always willing to help – and also for bringing Becki Mignogna’s son, Rob into my life and getting him involved – which he is so willing and ready to do. Here is what we have so far that will be on the Silent Auction tables for all of our guests to bid on (and bid high, is my wish).
