Hi Barbara,
Sounds like it has been a very busy summer for you to say the least! I hope that the 3rd benefit goes very well indeed and my thanks to you for organising this! I am really looking forward to hearing how it goes, thank you for everything that you do!
Hugs,
Gavin

Thank you for sharing this great news about your fundraiser! Events like yours are a critical source of funding for the work of the Foundation.
May we also advertise it on the Foundation social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter)? I will send you a private message to get more details.

I know you will do an extraordinary job this year and I know you put your heart and soul into everything you do for our Foundation. Words of thank you are just not enough! How about, I know that Jacques is so very proud of you! BTW once you make that big move to down size and you are settled once again you will be glad you made the move. I did it 2 years ago and have never regretted the move. Good luck on the Auction and your move. Thank you for all you do for CC.

It is time for my 3rd Annual Memorial Silent Auction Benefit, which will be held on October 4th at Sizzle Bistro, in Manchester, NH, which is owned by my younger sister Maureen. I am confident that this years benefit will be even bigger and better than last year. Once again the benefit will be in loving memory of my Jacques, who lost his battle with cholangiocarcinoma on November 10, 2007 as well as another CCF patient advocate, Rob Mignogna’s mother, Becki Mignogna, who lost her battle with cholangiocarcinoma on January 17, 2013 (ironically January 17th is my Jacques birthday).
It has been a very busy summer for me, as I have been getting my house ready to sell (time for me to downsize) – which it is now ready and will go on the market next Tuesday – it is a very emotional and bittesweet endeavor. I have also been active as one of the curators for the International Cholangiocarcinoma Patient Registry, which went live in June.
Putting this benefit together is a lot of work and entails organization, time and dedication – but knowing that we are raising money for such an amazing foundation – makes it all worth while. Even though cholangiocarcinoma took the love of my life, my best friend, my Jacques – it has made me one very strong, independent, and determined woman – who will never stop fighting the fight to find a C.U.R.E for cholangiocarcinoma. As many of you know, I try to do whatever I can to raise awareness and advocate for our foundation – attending conferences and conventions whenever I can. One way I know I am able to help is by hosting this fundraiser to raise money to help with the much needed research and clinical trials. I am truly blessed to have such a supportive family and a huge support system of friends – who are always there for me and are always willing to help. If you would like more information about this benefit – or if you live near by and would like to attend or contribute, please email me at: barbara6193@comcast.net.
As always I send hugs from New Hampshire,
Barbara -
