4th Annual Cholangiocarcinoma Memorial Benefit in New Hampshire

To honor my amazing husband, Jacques and Rob’s mother, Becki and also to raise awareness for this horrific, rare cancer, we invite you to come to the 4th Annual Cholangiocarcinoma Memorial Benefit, which will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at The Atkinson Resort and Country Club, Atkinson, NH in the Legacy Ballroom from 7:00 – 11:00 pm. This years theme is “SHOPPING FOR A CURE”.

Jacques was a loving husband, father, and friend, as well as a respected builder in southern New Hampshire for more than 30 years. He was and will always be remembered as a vibrant, energetic, and respected member of the community. Jacques lost his courageous battle with cholangiocarcinoma on November 10, 2007 at the young age of 56.
Becki loved being a “stay at home mom” to her two sons, a homemaker, loving wife and friend. She also volunteered with various bingo charities in Manchester and loved to travel. Becki lost her brave battle with cholangiocarcinoma on January 17, 2013, also at the young age of 56.

As Jacques wife, I will never stop using my voice and energy to raise awareness for this rare cancer, all in loving memory of the love of my life. Everyone’s life has been affected by cancer in one way or another, I hope one day to look up the word ’cancer’ in the dictionary and for the definition to read; “Cancer-ONCE a deadly disease.”

To honor both Jacques and Becki, and to raise awareness and fund research and clinical trials for this horrific, rare cancer we continue to host this Benefit. Barbara has been involved with The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation since 2007 and Rob became active in 2012. All proceeds will go to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (CCF), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

This years Benefit is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. We have a beautiful venue (we have outgrown our previous smaller venue) – we will have the entire Legacy Ballroom – which is beautiful and huge – the benefit will feature a Vegetable display – Cheese/Cracker/Fruit displays – Pasta Stations (served with Alfredo and Marinara Sauces), Parmesan Cheese and Garlic Toast, and Caesar Salad. There will be a gift bag of sweets for each guest to take home, courtesy of Lindt Chocolates. Tickets are only $25 per person. We will be having a Live Auction as well as our Silent Auction – a Wine Raffle donated by my sister Maureen – Music by Get Down Tonight’s Billy Rears – A Dance Floor and much more.
We currently have over 70 items for the Silent Auction (and more are coming in each day) and 8 amazing items for the Live Auction.
