Barbara….you are amazing and so very successful in your efforts of making a difference in the world of Cholangiocarcinoma. Jacques would be so very proud of you, and so are we. In stark contrast to the year 2006, Cholangiocarcinoma research has increased triple fold; we are in this wave of new discoveries and applicable treatments for the cholangiocarcinoma patient community.
Efforts such as yours greatly enhance the foundation’s outreach, research funding etc, and ultimately benefit each and everyone touched by this cancer. Although; not yet having reached our goal of a “cure,” our impact is visible and effective.
You have been with us since November 2007, never faltered and your passion for this cancer continues to grow. Thank you, dear Barbara, for all you do.
    Hugs,
    Marion

The 4th Annual Silent Auction Benefit in Loving Memory of Jacques Dupont and Becki Mignogna, was a HUGE success. The benefit was held Saturday, November 23rd at The Atkinson Resort & Country Club in Atkinson, NH. The event featured DJ Billy Rears of Get Down Tonight Entertainment who got the guests dancing, the food was delicious and included; appetizers, pasta stations, salad, garlic bread, and there was also a cash bar. There were over 130 items for guests to bid on at the Silent Auction tables – this year I added a Live Auction which had 7 Amazing items (including a Safari for 2 to South Africa). There was also a wine raffle where attendees purchased wine corks for a chance to win one of 15 bottles of wine. Attendees were able to bid on and win some amazing auction items… many bargains were had this year. It was a great way to kick off the Holidays and do s little “Shopping For a Cure” This years event surpassed my expectations, and for those who know me – my expectations are always very high – $18,100. was raised for The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.

It was another emotional event, indeed. The room was full of respect, compassion, love, and an understanding of why this foundation is so very important to me and many others. I’ve said it before and I continue to say, “I will never stop fighting the fight”. There were 210 guests in attendance this year and I had to turn down 25 more, as the food had already been ordered and the floor plan was finalized. I have already met with my venue coordinator and we will be able to have up to 275 guests next year. My pictures are not great, I’ve sent them to Donna to post them – but a local photographer has already approached me and he is all signed up for next year. Next years benefit is already booked and many people and businesses in my community have emailed or called me as they want to be involved next year. The 5th Annual Jacques Dupont Benefit will be held in November at the same venue and the DJ has already committed to donate his services again.

November 10, 2016 will mark 9 years that cholangiocarcinoma took the love of my life – but I promised him that I would make raising awareness to one day find a cure my mission – and I will never give up. My committee of 3 of my dearest friends and their spouses are meeting on December 27th to debrief and start the planning for 2016. I am very fortunate to have such amazing friends and also my community behind me. They believe in me and the Chokangiocarcinoma Foundation and are willing to join and support my mission.

Merry Christmas and Hugs from New Hampshire,
    Barbara Dupont
