p.s.Lynn. I would push for the bed! It will prevent him from falling out of bed, it is more comfortable and the rails can help him sit up and down. Teddy LOVED his hospital bed, it sure saves on their energy and pain as well. Also with a living room set up it gives the Nurses more room to work in and is a good place to be when visitors are there.

I am so glad you have people with you. I am wondering, since I don’t know much about how they work this, if you should call the Treatment Center and ask if you should still take him in with the pain he is in? I sure hope they get the pain under control. Has he talked with his daughter again?

Thank you Lynn. I was thinking about you but knew you would be busy. I am so glad George had company! Has Hospice sent anything yet? Are you getting George a Hospital bed and a walker? They ususally send everything right away. Do not be afraid to keep on them! Especially for pain! Hiccups could be from anything. Teddy had them non stop after his Whipple for months and we tried everything. Finally a Pharmacist recommended Brioske (sp) which is like a ground Alka Seltzer in looks. After months of terrible hiccups they left with only 2 doses in an hour! You can get it at CVS or Walgreens. The other thing is a teaspoon of sugar which has worked for some. Good luck today and again push for what he needs. You are doing a great job, Lynn. Did George sit on his porch?
