    Hi Kristen,

Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better now and that you “only” have a virus. Life sure is strange as you say! Hope you continue to improve and that the itching clears up as soon as possible.

    My best wishes to you,

    Gavin

Yes, the itching takes a long time to leave. There is a great cream we found called Sarna, available at Walgreen’s.CVS and I have recommended it many times on this Board. Good luck.

Thanks so much for all the kind words! I’m still itchy and yellow, but the nausea is gone and my appetite is coming back.

I read somewhere that the itching takes as long to go away as it did to develop (is that true??) in which case I’ve still got 2 1/2 weeks of scratching left to go.

Wishing everyone here a big fat FALSE ALARM on their next scary event!

    Hugs,

    Kristin

I am so happy for your Kristen. I am glad you are feeling better. Though it must be true that that there are no tests our there to on all liver issues. Dr. Tham even wonders if the fever Marc is experiencing is being caused by the tumor. She just has no way to know for sure.

    Kristin,
I am so happy for you! Good news is fantastic and that is very good news indeed. I am sure you are feeling wonderful now …not only from getting pysically better but from the mental release as well.

    Take care.

    Kirstin,

Yes, life is strange. Especially when it comes to CC. My thoughts ran along the same lines as Lainy’s, so I too am happy to hear that it was “just” a virus! Take care Kirstin. Hopefully by now you are back to normal, whatever that is!

    Love & Hugs,
    Darla

Kristin, just before I got to your last line I was thinking, “gee I hope she has a virus”. Isn’t it the truth? I hate to say this but I am so glad you have a virus!!
There are so many of them running around right now. But do feel better!

I posted a couple weeks ago that I was feeling horribly itchy and nauseous, and my urine was a bad color, and we all know what that means…

Well, no we don’t, actually! A CAT scan last week and a PET scan yesterday showed my tumors were completely unchanged. And as my oncologist asked me a ton of questions, we realized that this had come on very suddenly with flu-like symptoms (headache, chills, aches). And now a few weeks later I’m starting to feel better, and my liver enzymes are coming down. All this points to a viral liver infection. I tested negative for all the kinds of hepatitis, but he says there are all kinds of other liver viruses they don’t have tests for.

So, I gues this shows that you never, never know! And I never thought in all my life I’d say the words, “Gee, I hope I have hepatitis.” Life is sure strange.

    Kristin
