Dear Melissa, what a wonderful post, as you know I am a big believer. There are other ways your Mother will come through as well. You might smell her perfume, pennies found laying around, TV/radio going louder and softer, lights blinking there are so many things for us believers. It sure helps me get through my loss of Teddy to know that he is all around me.

I love this post too! My mom died just over a month ago and for the last 10 days or so, a woodpecker has come right to the middle of the wall, just on the other side of my sofa and has pecked and pecked this soothing and soft sound. My mother was an avid bird lover so I have also felt that it is my mom’s spirit, checking in with me, like she used to. And the day after she died, a blue jay came and hovered outside my father’s window and just looked in at him, for a long minute and my dad, a very old fashioned traditional guy felt my mom and said to the blue jay, “Hello! What do want to say to me?” and it flew away. My mom is still around – I can feel her.

Dear Mary, boy are we on the same wave length! I so agree with you that feeling him around me is what got me through. BUT, I am trying to figure out why his visits have declined. Guess he feels I am taking care of myself. I had a car thing too a year go and I know it was Teddy who turned my wheel as it was with a strength I wouldn’t have had. So, many things. Enjoy it all. By the way I am trying to get an appointment here with a Medium/Psychic that my daughter has used for 20 years. She does work for the police as well. Will let you know what happens. I do know our boys are as proud of us as we were of them!

    Julia,
I, like Lainey love these posts too. My Tom has visited me in so many different ways. I have a little wren that wakes me up in the morning singing and seems to follow me around when I’m outside working. Tom loved to sing so I always think that it’s him serenading me. A few weeks ago I was driving my pup to the vet early in the morning and kind of in a trance when the light above my rearview mirror flashed on and startled me awake just as a deer ran across my path. Weird things like that have happened from the beginning. Some people say it would give them the creeps but I find them comforting. I love to think he is still around and some how aware of what’s going on in our lives. I hope your sister keeps visiting you. Love, Mary

    Julia,

I do think that was Susan sending a sign. The bird would go along with the feathers you always used to find. I love your stories.

Lovely Julia. Thanks for sharing Sue’s visit with all of us. :) Yes, I truely believe they are still all around us. We just need to be open and sensitive to the signs.

    Love & Hugs,
    Darla

Thank you, Lainy. I’m so glad it cheered you, too. I thought of you immediately because I just KNEW it was Sue. It was such a strong feeling.

    I don’t know how I know – but I just DO know – that she’s fine. X

Oh, Julia, you know how much I LOVE a post like this. I am sure it was a spirit from Sue. It’s amazing what one can see when one is open to it. It does help us get through and I wouldn’t trade one of Teddy’s 55 visits for anything! I keep a log (diary) and when I feel that hole in the heart I just read it and know he is all around me. Thanks for the post, it made me feel so good.

It’s four months since I lost my lovely sister. I miss her so much. Today, as I opened my bedroom curtains, a robin flew at the window, stopped just the other side of the glass and hovered directly in front of me, flashing his gorgeous red breast. I didn’t even know robins could hover!! Then it sat on the roof-ridge for a while – lingering much closer and for much longer than I’ve seen one before – before flying back into the trees.

Sue loved seeing robins in the garden. It really felt like she’d come to greet and reassure me.

It was a lovely start to the day.
