Thank you Marion and Gavin! My husband was scheduled for another ERCP today. Surprisingly the gastroenterologist came in this morning saying bilirubin level has dropped indicating the stent is working and decided to hold off the ERCP. This is a wonderful news for us so he was discharged today with antibiotics. Thank you all for your positive thoughts!!

Glad to hear that the vomiting has passed Lee and so hope that it does not come back either! Keeping everything crossed for your husband with all of this. How is the abdominal pain today?

My best wishes to you both,

    Gavin

Good news (taking in perspective) that vomiting has stopped. Fingers and everything crossed for positive developments tomorrw. Hang in there in this what we call: the rollercoaster ride of Cholangiocarcinoma.

    Gavin and Marion,

Thanks for your positive notes. He has not had much food due to the procedure and abdominal discomfort. The good news is he only vomited once when he had chill and fever last Thursday.

Lee….I am so sorry to hear of the current events and hope for tomorrow’s ERCP to provide the answers and remedies to counteract the problems your husband is experiencing. Is he able to hold down food?
    Hugs,

Thank you very much! My husband had ERCP this morning to change the stents. I am now praying he will respond well!

    Lee –
I was going to say it might be the starts of an infectious process of some sort. Then when I saw the fever and chills part I knew you had done the right thing. He may have a blockage in one of the stents or just having the stents. The IV antibiotics are the best. My husband was hospitalized three times for blood infections and we were able to keep him out twice more when the infectious disease doc gave us a script for antibiotics. Good luck and keep us posted.

Lee, my Teddy used to get these blood infections and always ended up in the hospital on an IV of antibiotics which was usually Levequin. Used to clear the blood infections in just a couple of days.
Yes, I understand where you want to say STOP the world I want to get off. That is why we call CC a Merry-go-Round ride. Hopefully your husband will have good results and be back home quickly. Be strong!!
