March 16, 2010 at 4:12 pm #36520marionsModeratorMel…..I am reaching here but, is it anatomically possible for the physician to perform a Palliative Double Bypass ((Roux-en-Y Procedure?)
I believe that is what Kris had? Just a thought.
Hugs coming your way,

KrisMarch 16, 2010 at 2:57 am #36517mlodgeSpectatorWell they did a CT scan today. Not good news.
My lymph nodes surrounding my stomach are now affected by the cancer. Every time I eat or drink it increases the blood flow which means the lymph nodes apply even more pressure to my stomach. Hence the pain. They also saw a spot in my stomach and told me I need to discuss all these results in more detail with my oncologist. They gave me a prescription for Oxycodone so I can tolerate the pain better.
Why does it feel like I keep losing every battle?
Thanks for your input all. I think I will go crawl back under my rock for little bit.

March 15, 2010 at 3:41 pm #36516devoncatSpectatorI get more “full” and have pain in association with my period. I think my ovaries get inflamed and then press on other organs causing that problem.
I have also noticed I get that feeling also when I have had too much dairy over a period of time.
Hope that helps.
Kris
March 15, 2010 at 8:01 am #36515gavinModeratorHi Mel,
I don’t know if this will help with your situation or not, but when my dad was having trouble with his stomach and digestion, his specialist advised eating smaller amounts of food and food that is much easier to break down such as mince and soup etc. I hope you can get some help with this from your doctor today.
My best wishes to you,
Gavin
March 15, 2010 at 4:00 am #36514marionsModeratorHello Mel. It is nice to hear from you. We had plenty of discussions re: fullness after eating. One suggestion coming to mind is the use of stool softeners 1/2 hour before intake of the meal in order to keep you regular. Might regularity be a problem, presently? Also, enzymes in order to help hasten the breakdown of food. Mel, it takes 4 hours for complete digestion. Moving around after a meal may also be beneficial. Others may have more suggestions coming your way.
Best wishes,
MarionMarch 15, 2010 at 3:44 am #3301mlodgeSpectatorHi All,
I was wondering if any of you have experienced abdominal fullness after eating or drinking.
For the last 3days, I have been is such pain after I eat or drink it is almost unbearable. My stomach is almost rock hard. I intend on calling my doctor tomorrow to tell her about it, but I thought one of you might be able to enlighten me till I call the doctor.
Thank you,
Mel -
