Totally not on subject of cancer, but I went the acupuncture route to stop smoking and it certainly worked. Seventeen years ago I was a three pack a day smoker. My lungs were so compromised that I would sit up in the middle of the night to clear them and then just go back to sleep. Realized if I didn’t stop smoking my time here would be cut short. I am all for trying different healing routes.
I go to an acupuncturist who has received training in TCM (initially educated in western medicine – MD from Ohio State). There is no way to objectively evaluate the benefit, but it makes me feel better knowing that I am not limiting myself to conventional medicine. Too bad insurance does not recognize acupuncture except as used as anesthesia.

Up to now, I have never mentioned anywhere or anyone for the patients as well as caregiver for acupuncture or TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine_) practitioner.
I was told 2 days ago by a nursing manager in my hospital that some of her patients get good result from acupuncture and treatment from Dr. GUO and ask do I know him and his organization. I said no. But I look up his bio and found he meets my previous requirement of being experienced (ie: older>60, trained in Mainland China among others) .
