Sandy….thanks for asking. Top bar, left hand side, “Home.” I agree with what has been said…these wristbands are fantastic. While attending the Barcelona Conference, Pauline and I observed people walking past us, in Restaurants, and they were wearing our wristands. Hopefully, some day, everyone will now about this cancer and the wristbands bring us one step further to this goal. Enjoy, Sandi.

MarionI’m new here ~ so bear with me please. Where would one get the bracelets you speak of? I have only known the word “cholangiocarcinoma” for a little over a week so yes, we need to get the word out!

SandyJust to join in…the bracelets came in handy at our Relay For Life walkathon last month. I passed them out to everyone I could. I also put the website address on all the luminaries that we purchased and asked friends, relatives etc. to do the same. Didn’t know there was a new bracelet design…need to replenish my stock!!!
Sue, have a great time at Disney. I just returned from there. I had promised my 6 yr old niece I would bring her for her birthday. Such fun to see the ‘magic’ through the eyes of a little one. When she saw Cinderella during the parade, the look of wonder on her face made me start to cry. Such innocence. My dad was a huge Mickey Mouse fan. I’ll never forget when dad met Mickey for the first time. He nearly burst with excitement waiting in line…and he was 68 years old!!! Guess its true…Disney is ageless.

JoleneSue….There is a newer version of bracelets then the ones I had mailed to you. Stacie, Rick and Sara had re-designed them about many months ago. These bracelets also come in handy, in a pinch. They are great for holding the hair back, too. Have a wonderful time at Disney World and let us know how much you enjoyed walking in your expensive shoes.
MarionWonderful story , Sue. When Teddy went for his last PET Scan I met a woman who has CC and in fact has posted a couple of times on our site. I gave her my bracelet. Sure makes one feel good!!!! You will have a blast at Disney and I think that’s a great Anniversary Gift.
Sue and Kris, I also bought 50 bracelets and everyone including children ask about them and ask for one. My mom gave a ‘donation’ to go towards the bracelets
I also gave my oncologist Dr Keith Stuart at Lahey Clinic a handful of them and he was very excited because he has many cc patients and had already seen 3 by the time I got there after my scan. He said he would be happy to share them and then asked me if I could find him one with a picture of a ‘liver’ on it

There you go spreading the gospel of our site. I love it. I hope to be getting my bracelets soon. I plan on giving one or two to my fav nurses. Got to spread the word.I cant wait to see mine. And you are definately a miracle and a walking beacon of hope. I am so proud I am your cancer buddy. Now if I could just get back on that remission wagon with you!

So, did I get your attention??? HA HA!!
I just had to tell you this story…my husband and I are going in Disney World in October for our 10th anniversary. It was all his idea, as I would never have thought of exposing my knees and fat butt to that kind of trip. But, the more he talked about it, the more it sounded like fun.
So, anyway…I was talking to a good friend about the trip and telling her I was worried about all the walking. (She is a veteran of Disney World and I have NEVER been.) She suggested a certain type of shoe that I had never heard of. They are fairly expensive, but she swore by them. OK, I’m game. Found one of the stores in our “fancy schmancy” mall (that gives you an idea of how expensive they are…remember, I normally buy my shoes online at Joe’s New Balance OUTLET) so I stopped by last Friday after work.
I had a fantastic salesguy who was very patient and showed me numerous pairs of shoes. (I did end up buying two pair, he was a GREAT salesguy!) Almost as soon as I walked in the door, he asked about my “white” bracelet. I also wear the yellow one, but everyone knows what that is for…
I explained about cholangiocarcinoma and told him the highlights of having this cancer (or the lowlights, depending on how you look at it…). I told him I had found this website when I was sick and how you all were doing so much good for people like me who are lost and have no idea what is going on.
HE ASKED ME FOR A BRACELET. Unfortunately I did not have one with me. I had sent all but one to my daughter. I was pretty bummed about it, but I left him with promises to return with a picture after our trip.
When I got home, I went to check out my new shoes (every woman loves new shoes!!) and I couldn’t believe it…one pair was not the ones I meant to buy! Oh no, I was going to have to go back and exchange and what a hassle and blah, blah, blah…
OK, let’s see if I can shorten this story a little bit…I knew I was going back and I knew he REALLY wanted a bracelet, so I found the extra one I had left and trotted back to the store.
He was so embarrassed about selling me the wrong shoes but you should have seen the smile on his face when I gave him the bracelet. He put it right on his wrist and promised to wear it. He promised!
I told him to check out the website so he could see what kind of miracle was standing in front of him at that moment (you can always check out my story if you really want to by searching “scragots”). He said he would check it out. I told him he could donate too if he wanted to!
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that the bracelets work. It’s getting the word out. So always have a spare! You never know when you might need one!
