Ihope….thanks for joining our group. I am not aware of anyone on this site treated with the above chemo however; I am hoping for someone new to chime in and share his/her experience with you. I do know that it is used for colon cancer, but then again all chemo drugs are used for various, other cancers too. In general: once maximum benefit has been reached, other drugs, most often a combination of drugs, are applied. Please know that all information received on this site must be validated by your physician. I am sending tons of good wishes your way. Hi , I am posting here for the first time. My husb has the intrahepatic CC with mets. My Sis-il, uid-Jypan has posted about us. This place is a great source of information and feels like family. I hope to add my bit too.
My husb’s first line of Trmnt was 4 cycles of gem Ox which kept the primary tumor and LN stable but did not shrink it. This was followed by 2 cycles of gem +Xeloda. he was operated for LN removal and IRE. The biomarker test showed Kras neg. He was treated with 7 cycles of gem and Erbitux. The LNs intially shrunk in the first 4 cycles but later started increasing. So our Dr. at SLoan has changed it Folfiri +Erbitux.
I would like to know if anyone has had experience with Folfiri + Cetuximab combo.
