Thx Lainy for your input. This thought has me “wondering” a bunch too. I know there is a lot of crap we put in our bodies every day, even when we try and not to! Who knows…..just wondering if any others had CC & been taking actos. Interesting you got an even more rare cancer than CC!! Wow! Hope you stay healthy and it is gone for good!!! God bless you and your family this holiday season!

Dear Pgaska, OH BOY! Wouldn’t we all like to know where this piece of krap comes from! I took Actos for a couple of years and didn’t get CC but got a more rare Cancer, can you believe that? It is called a GIST (Gastro Intestinal Stromal Tumor). It was 5cm x 10cm and was surgically removed 2 years ago October. It does react a lot like CC in that it can come back, you don’t know it (I get PETs every 6 months and see the ONC every 4 months) and there is not much they can do but keep removing it. Bottom line I don’t know if it is from the Actos or not. We put so many things in to our bodies it’s a wonder more doesn’t go wrong.Timing was good as that is when we found out Teddy’s CC had returned and honestly I was so worried about him I didn’t even think of mine. That set the tome for me, I still don’t think about it much. But, interesting question!
Now you have me thinking, and that’s not easy!!! :):)

Hi everyone. I have seen that Actos can give bladder cancer, but was wondering if it may have caused other types of cancer. My Mom was on this drug and was diagnosed of CC that matasized to her liver. She unfortunately she lost her battle in September. Just curious how many CC patients have taken Actos, since this is such a rare cancer & there is no family history. I just would like a “reason” for this unexpected & very devastating cancer!
