I’m doing OK. Just got to keep going. No other choice.
I don’t eat a lot of fish either Lainy. Beer batter perch, scallops & lobster. Maybe shrimp now and then, but definitely not sushi!
Yes, it has been a long time. Where does the time go? I can’t believe that Jim has been gone over 8 years already. Some days it seems longer and others like it was yesterday.
Stay away from that fish & so will I! Take care.
Hugs,
DarlaNovember 13, 2016 at 5:31 pm #27582lainySpectatorDarla, I have been thinking, where has the time gone? Dec, 6th will be 6 years! I feel like it went so fast and yet it seems like a century ago. I have posted this article to my FB as everyone I know eats Sushi (NOT me) and I read an article about 6 months ago how fish coming in to the USA is not really inspected like it should be. I have gotten to a point will I will only eat Farm grown fish. Fortunately I don’t eat much fish anyway. Once a month Mel and I go with 4 other couples to a Sushi place and I order Tempura or Teriyaki chicken. Hope you are doing good.
November 13, 2016 at 4:15 pm #27581darlaSpectatorThanks Lainy! I think so too.
November 13, 2016 at 2:55 pm #27583lainySpectatorMy Thanks to all that have served their Country, VETS, Firefighters, Police and yes what an appropriate time for this article to appear. Teddy served in Korea and I am sure that is where he got his CC souvenir. This article has been long overdue so many thanks to all who were involved. Darla, Jim was a really handsome man!

November 12, 2016 at 6:31 pm #27585gavinModeratorI too am glad that this has gone viral and we had a piece on it as well on the twitter page yesterday. Thank you surfer for posting this piece as well. I so hope that much good will come from this and of course my thanks to all who have or are serving their country and protecting us all. It is Remembrance Sunday tomorrow here in the UK.
Thanks Darla for the head up on your husband Jim in the pic as well.
Hugs to all,
Gavin
November 12, 2016 at 12:10 am #27586darlaSpectatorI was so happy to see this finally come about. My thanks to Robin, Anne, Margie and all the others who worked so hard to make this happen. This is an Associated Press story that has been picked up by a lot of others and has pretty much gone viral! My husband Jim is pictured in the collage picture. First one in the second row. Hopefully this will do some good and if nothing else make more aware of this disease that is killing so many of our veterans. Good job ladies! And yes, it is fitting that it came out today, Veteran’s Day.
November 11, 2016 at 9:48 pm #27587marionsModeratorsurfer…..thanks for posting this. Time to remember those that served this country, returned and died of a cancer linked to their service. Heartbreaking.

MarionNovember 11, 2016 at 7:50 pm #2142surfer1SpectatorMy husband is one of the many Vietnam vets that have died from cholangiocarcinoma. The following link will take you to the story. It has been published in many newspapers today I which is fitting for Veteran’s Day.
