I just finished reading through the article posted below which is a very thorough review of intrahepatic CCA and resection. Some notable points:
Follow-up after resection: Unlike most articles on iCCA, it gives recommendations on post-resection follow-up via scans and blood work. The recommendations are a little more aggressive than what is in NCCN, which is what doctors tend to look at. This may be good info to share with your doc if he or she is reluctant to order the tests you feel should be done.
Surgery: Data are cited suggesting that there are patients who are operable who are not being offered surgery. Another reminder that surgical opinions are important.
